Our inhaler caps are made from PLA, a plant-based plastic commonly used in 3D printing. While PLA is not certified as food-safe, this only applies to products meant to touch food or drinks. Since our caps fit over the outside of an inhaler’s mouthpiece and never contact the medication, food-safe certification isn’t needed for their intended use.

Yes! PLA is stable at room temperature and performs well during everyday indoor or outdoor use—like carrying in a gym bag, backpack, or pocket. The only time to be cautious is in extreme heat. PLA can soften at about 140 °F (60 °C), so we recommend avoiding long periods in a hot car, direct sunlight, or other high-heat environments.

The ActiveBand is designed for running, walking, hiking, cycling, yoga, and other low-impact or endurance activities. It keeps your inhaler secure and accessible without interrupting your pace. We don’t recommend using the ActiveBand for contact sports or activities with strong, fast, or repetitive arm movements such as basketball, football, gymnastics, or boxing. These may cause the inhaler to shift or the band to loosen.
